Jeff & Kristie enjoying the evening entertainment after dinner. Maggie has had other visitors;
we've just been negligent about taking pictures. Jeff & Kristie were a big hit -- not only did
they come bearing gifts for Maggie, but brought homemade moose-shaped biscuits for the
big girls. All girls said 'paws-up' in approval.

Yes, Maggie is still nursing. Although, Dinah is drying up. It is a good thing she had a warehouse of fat on her, because she is one lean
machine now. She doesn't really care about eating her non-mommy food. After nursing, she and Dinah have a round of playing.

After an hour, Maggie is exhausted and
ready to go back to bed at 6:30 a.m.

June 2nd -- Wednesday
Maggie eating her "raw" meal -- she wins on kibble strike. While I'm not a fan of feeding small pups raw, it is the only thing she will eat.
We are slowly mixing in kibble, which she now also eats. For the long version of the story, you can e-mail me and ask details. For the
reader's digest version, Maggie was at the vet's on Tuesday and Wednesday, being tested for everything. Her symptoms were lethargy,
lack of appetite (i.e. won't even nurse) and low grade fever. Her fever broke on Tuesday afternoon at the vets, after IV fluid administration
and amoxycillan. We went to the vet that evening with her raw food and they fed her every couple hours during the night. Turns out that,
in addition to the bug she was fighting, she was deficient in iron which caused anemia. Of course, this is because she was on pretty
much a 75% milk-based diet since she refused to eat much kibble. There's a lesson learned in every litter. The below pictures are
taken Wednesday evening after getting her home from the vets.
