About Atlas:
Atlas was the big boy of our 2001 Litter.  He was the one who always
seemed to be nursing on the hind-tit (i.e. the milk station with the most
milk), but was very sweet when we would pull him off and place him on
the more undesirable front milk stations.  He would settle down and just
nurse diligently without complaint.

Now, in 2009 at the age of 8.5, Atlas is still doing good . . . becoming an
old man!  Alot slower now on his walks and even more lazy (if you can
believe that!)  His life is made up of a big cushy pillow on the floor in the
family room, a daily walk, lots of love from his humans and two meals of
which never seems to be enough.  (I guess some things never
change!).  Atlas is full of love and kisses even though his looks are very
intimidating!

Atlas is pictured here as a veteran of 8.5 years.  Stay tuned and we will
try to post some more pictures!

Tribute to Atlas:

Michael and Martha,

My heart aches as I inform you that we had to put Atlas down early
in the morning on Sunday Oct 3, 2010  .  .  .  He had a great life and be
brought smiles to everyone who met him.  His disposition was a
topic of amazement for many.  He only showed signs of aggression
when he actually defended me from an unleashed attacking dog on
one of our long walks.  I was astonished at his power and immediate
release of aggression looking at me for approval.  My walks will now
be extremely difficult.

We had him cremated and Joanie created a memory box for the little
items of his life.  Although he will live forever in our hearts it will be
nice to peak our heads into the memory box as the years roll by.

We thank your for all your guidance and support over the years.

Scott & Joanie
