Roxie is our second Ridgeback.
She was born in June 1996 and
came to live with us at the end of
August. Debbie Danford, Sienna
Kennels, is her breeder. After
having Maverick, we thought we
had Ridgebacks figured out -- not!
Roxie turned our house on its ear!
She had a very busy schedule
planned for each day and would
appreciate if we didn't interfere with
it too much -- other than popping
treats in her mouth and feeding her.
She loves to play, and at the age of
8.5, still gives her baby, Ella, a run
for her money. She loves living on
the edge!!
I don't think I've ever seen a dog
that has so much "Joy of Life" in
her. Her philosophy -- which many
people should adopt -- is "today is
a wonderful day with so many
exciting possibilities!" She is
exuberant and confident. Roxie is
pictured to the left at 12 months of
age, winning Best of Opposite Sex
& Winners Bitch and above left,
placing at the RRCUS National
Sweeps.
Brags:
Roxie finished her AKC championship
quickly, taking several Best of
Opposite Sex and Best of Winners
placements. Roxie also took a couple
Best of Breed wins in limited showing
as a Special. Roxie was also 3rd in
her class at the National Specialty
Sweepstakes (1997) and the OCCRC
Regional Specialty Show (1997).
